In the sixteenth match-up, I pitted Steve Carell's final episode of
The Office against nothing. In other words, I gave this episode a bye. Later, Josh Toulouse explained to me that the bye usually goes to the highest ranking seed. In other words, one of the
Big Bang Theory episodes should have advanced to the second round. But I thought it proper that the most important episode that happened this season, the one with the heaviest weight in television history, should get the bye. In the long run, that
is the first seed. (Does that make any sense?)
After all that time, we've finally gotten to the Sweet Sixteen. I thought I'd give you a look at the current state of the tournament before moving on to our seventeenth match-up.
