Steam


Steam is a digital content delivery platform developed by Valve Corporation. Purchase games and find them instantly available for download on any computer where you have downloaded and logged into the Steam Client.

In an effort to increase replay value of games, Steam offers Steam Achievements on select games.

  1. I really want the PC gaming industry to see that digital distribution (and not retail stores) is the future of PC gaming. I bet companies would have more money at their disposal by going purely digital too.

  2. Think of the environmental impact as well:

    1. No discs. No packaging for the discs. No manuals. No nothing.

    2. People playing PC games all day are less likely to go outside and trample endangered plant life.

    3. It is bad form not to have at least three points. I do not have at least three points. Therefore, I am in bad form.

  3. 1. The act of buying something in a store promotes some sort of human interaction without which, some people might become positively sociopathic in their alone-ness.

    2. Games come in boxes, which are usually cool.
