I have been surrounded by people who have been reading the book series (A Song of Ice and Fire) that Game of Thrones is based on, so I've been hearing hope and skepticism for a long time about this TV mini-series. Immediately, it's clear that actors like Peter Dinklage, Lena Headey and Sean Bean are delivering some of their best work on this show, which is fantastic, because they're pretty good actors to start with. It took until the eighth episode for me to realize that this is one of the best programs on television. The characters are fantastically developed and the program diverts from the books where necessary due to the fact that a mini-series has to prevent stories differently from a book simply because of the format. I am engaged and always thinking about the world that this fantasy series presents, but the show keeps proving to me that I cannot predict what is coming up next. Add to this the fact that I am constantly happy with what develops and I now feel a sense of trust, like Game of Thrones will continue to deliver what I like. If you're not watching Game of Thrones you really should be. Network television hasn't really been throwing us any good new series, so there's really nothing bigger than Game of Thrones right now, and deservedly so.

Peter Dinklage

Actor Peter Dinklage. Sometimes I like to give a long filmography and though I certainly could with Peter Dinklage, there's no reason. By mass he is one of the smallest actors on the hit HBO television program Game of Thrones, but by talent he outshines even Lena Headey (Queen Gorgo in 300) and Sean Bean (Boromir in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Rings). His performance as Tyrion Lannister on Game of Thrones is fantastic enough week to week that it makes me want to look into the rest of his filmography, especially The Station Agent (2003), which I've heard amazing things about.
