Actor Joel Courtney. You may recognize him as Joe Lamb in Super 8. If you don't recognize him from Super 8 then you just plain don't recognize him. Unless you see the minor resemblance to my friend Jamey Hungerford. Joel Courtney has never been in another movie in his life. I think this nails home how amazing his performance in Super 8 is so great. Like Max Records in 2009 and Hailee Steinfeld in 2010, this year's best actor is a child. Unfortunately, the academy will never recognize Joel Courtney. And that's why we have to honor him here. Great work, Joel. Keep it up!
